Suddenly Single Women’s Guide to Finances

Inspired by my own post-divorce financial challenges and after noticing the shortage of finance books for women in the post-relationship stage, I vowed to change that. In this book, I tackled finance basics, bills, side hustles, as well as some saving and investment strategies. I talked to friends, experts, mentors – anyone who had a story to tell and some financial wisdom to impart. I used the popular crowd-funding site, Kickstarter, with a lot of success, to help me self-publish through CreateSpace.

Moving forward, I hope this book is just the first of many on money. My blog, themoneysavvymommy.com, is in a way an extension of my book, bridging an information gap and paving the way for more money savviness for all of you out there.

“There are all kinds of how-to and self-help books regarding divorce, separation, death of a spouse/partner but I don’t think a book was ever written on how to navigate one’s finances while going through a difficult time. This book is a wonderful start if you are caught in a quagmire of issues that go with being suddenly single again.” ―Jenine Diaz

“Great read. I went through a divorce a few years back and I was forced to make some major life changes including taking control of my life. Well guess what?! I just made my last credit card debt payment. Thank you for educating women on how to take charge of their finances and breaking it down into easy steps one can follow.” ―Karla Amador
